Two meetings in Fiordland this month will give members of the public the opportunity to assess the proposed monorail project from opposing viewpoints.
A pilot project aimed at reducing the problems associated with illegal freedom camping around Fiordland appears to be working, with not a single call of complaint made to the Department of Conservation this year.
Organisers of last Wednesday’s inaugural Milford Mountain Classic cycle race from Milford to Te Anau are confi dent the event will become a firm fixture on the region’s sporting calendar.
